SuMmEr ScHoOl

Step inside my Doctrine class. Mr. Komis is at the front of the room with a bag of candy bars to bribe you into participating in class discussion(hey, there's a child in all of us). The guys are lounging without ties, and us girls are free from the dreaded nylons. Close your mouth, open your heart, have a devotional mindset, and be ready for a blessing!

BIG ZERO -can you call yourself one?

Man is made in the image of God. While he is an amazing being, how much greater must be the One who made him! I Corinthians 4:7 presents a proper "self image" for the Christian. Starting to feel too big for your britches? Is pride creeping in? Answer these questions - Who made you different? What do you have that you did not recieve? If you recieved it, why do you glory like you didn't receive it? This is pride.

How NORMal am I?

People tend to want to shy away from the norm. No one wants to be average. People want to be creative and different and original. Guess what? When it comes to human nature, God wants us to be normal. Human existance was intended to be like pre-fall Adam and Eve and like the example of Jesus Christ. Jesus had perfect fellowship with the Father. He obeyed his Father's will perfectly (do I always?). He always displayed a strong love for mankind - all souls. So how do you add up? Are you striving to be normal (God's intended normal) today?
